We publish our guides in waves. This page is reserved for gold ira (18,100 searches/mo in the US) and is scheduled for wave 1 of our editorial calendar. When it ships, it will follow the same standard as our reviews: sourced numbers, dated checks, no hype.
Until it is ready, start with our rated review of Gold IRA companies.
Start with our rated reviews
Noble Gold Investments 4.1/5 Noble Gold Investments is a 2017-vintage dealer with published flat fees — $80 setup and $275 per year — an A+ BBB grade, a 5/5 Trustpilot score and one of the smallest entry points in the category. Its caveats are familiar: metal premiums and buyback spreads are not published, and reported IRA minimums conflict. Weighted score: 4.08/5.

GoldStar Trust 4.0/5 GoldStar Trust Company is a bank-owned self-directed IRA custodian in Amarillo, Texas, administering roughly 37,500 accounts. Augusta Precious Metals 4.0/5 Augusta Precious Metals is a 14-year-old gold and silver IRA dealer built around one-on-one economic education, an A+ BBB grade and a near-spotless complaint record. Its $50,000 minimum is the category's highest, its exact fees and premiums are quote-only, and its buyback — while never denied — is not contractually guaranteed. Weighted score: 3.98/5.
